  • Abstract

    Language and socialization are two sides of the same coin given the crisscross relationship that exists between them. In furtherance, language acquisition and learning occur during socialization. Similarly, socialization happens through the medium of a language. The reason being language learning and socialization do not occur in isolation. The present study intends to examine the role of language as a medium of socialization and as an agent in the socialization process. It identifies the language as not just as a tool for socialization, but as an agent of socialization. The need to meet socio-linguistic aspects of language users over time accounts for the changes, which reflect in various stages of evolution of the English language. The present-day English is identified as Contemporary English is a function of the phenomenal changes that occur in the process of language development. Having found its way into Nigeria, the English language has become not only a medium of socialization but also an agent in the socialization process. This study adopts descriptive methodology and proposes its conceptual framework on theory of language socialization, which encourages learning and development through active participation. Also, it reveals that a proper understanding of learning and development of a language is only through socialization process.

  • Abstract

    The perception of students plays a significant role in understanding the education process, whether to take it as a channel for prosperity and value-add themselves with skillsets towards becoming an entrepreneur. Moreover, these skillsets to be the source of confidence for them to choose their career path to become an employee or employer in accordance with time. This is possible only through imparting quality education to the younger generation particularly females in academia. In furtherance, such education focuses not only on sharpening their subject knowledge but also the skillsets that are prerequisites for employability. Hence, there is a need to conduct a conceptual study on understanding the female students’ perception on entrepreneurship education.

  • Abstract

    Women break through historical barriers and ascend to leadership positions, understanding the cognitive aspects of self-esteem and leadership becomes paramount. It is possible through a comprehensive exploration of historical developments, societal shifts, and empirical analyses, wherein this study sheds light on the dynamic interplay between self-esteem and leadership skills. It is to be noted that there is a need to delve into the intricate relationship between self-esteem and leadership skills among women in business so that it may uncover the mechanisms that contribute to the empowerment of women in leadership positions. This conceptual research intends to understand the complexities within this interplay and shedding light on the possible psychological dimensions, which contribute to empowerment of women in the business world. Also, by observing and examining the cognitive aspects of self-esteem and leadership skills, this research provides insights to the ongoing discourse on gender equality in leadership, providing practical implications for individual career trajectories and broader organizational dynamics. Keeping this in view, the present study emphasizes the significance of this synergy in fostering confident decision-making, resilience, team empowerment, authentic leadership, effective communication, and overall positive organizational culture.

    Globalization has emerged as a huge transformative force in reshaping the worldwide economies with profound implications on India’s manufacturing sector. This impact of globalization on India’s manufacturing sector, encompassing industrialization, economic growth, labour practices, policy imperatives, and environmental sustainability are the aspects to be considered. The present study intends to highlight the influences of globalization on the manufacturing sector of India. This paper has attempted to review the secondary data sources to conceptually understand and discuss the complexities created by globalization and its implications for India’s manufacturing sector. Also, it suggests the aspects to facilitate the sustainability of manufacturing sector and fostering the comprehensive industrial progress in the context of globalization.

    The Indian freedom struggle is one of the most important aspects in Indian History. The contributions made by different sectors and people account for the independence. This research paper delves into the intricate involvement of artistes in the Indian Freedom Struggle, analysing the profound influence of musicians, painters, dancers, poets, and theatre artists in shaping the socio-political landscape. It initiates by exploring India’s diverse artistic traditions, emphasizing the crucial role of artistic expressions in transformative movements. The segment on musicians elucidates how they employed their craft as potent messengers, disseminating messages of resistance through their musical creations. Moreover, in the domain of visual arts, painters are scrutinized for their capacity to capture the essence of the freedom struggle in their works, while dancers are acknowledged for their distinctive contributions in utilizing traditional dance forms as a means of protest. Beyond these primary art forms, poets and theatre artistes are recognized for their roles in stimulating and mobilizing the masses. The paper concludes comprehensively, synthesizing the findings, reflecting on the enduring legacy and impact of artistic contributions, and suggesting potential avenues for future research. Ultimately, this paper underscores the interconnected and pivotal role of the arts in India’s quest for independence, shedding light on the often-underappreciated contributions of artistes to historical movements.
